The point is, the Thames Whale wasn't murdered, the Giraffes were. There deaths are not similar as somebody claimed.

Just because it may not be as intelligent as one of us doesn't mean it didn't suffer, or that it's life wasn't ended way too quickly. Even if it was an accident we should still feel bad for the poor thing.

I do feel bad for it, but I laugh at people posting pictures then saying RIP Giraffe

When you have roast lamb for your sunday lunch, do you post a picture of the lamb and say RIP Lamb?

Anyway, they didn't suffer because the hay in their 'stable' would have burned with a lot of smoke so they would have blacked out from smoke inhalation very early on.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was animal rights terrorists. They don't seem to mind killing animals to get their point across that you shouldn't kill animals. Remember what happened when they released all the minks from a farm? They didn't really think that one through did they?

No, but I do feel bad for it, although I admit I am not a vegetarian. Having said that, the lamb would most likely have raised purely for farming purposes, whereas the giraffes in this case had no reason to die.

I'm not sure they appreciated being caged all their lives either while their mates are running around in Africa, but no-ones complaining about that.
