People try kill me in my dreams! Why?

How are they trying to kill you? If they are trying top stab you it means you have some unresolved issues with your (homo)sexuality. The 'stabbing' scenario is a subconscious expression of your desire to be.. shall we say, penetrated.

I have had nightmares of a nuclear bomb going off, I guess that logical though since its pretty horrific.

reading this made me realize i had a dream a nuclear bomb went off last nite and took out Manhattan along with the twin towers .

also held up a gas station afterwards for a pack of cigarettes on the basis the cops were occupied dealing with the attack lol.

I've had a few dreams in recent weeks where friends or family members are trying to kill me. Yesterday I had a dream where a family member who had passed away many years ago was trying to kill me.....

Anyone else have dreams like this?

Martin Luther King had a dream and someone killed him, have you ever considered that you might actually be a black civil rights activist? just a theory.

too many video games :) - I dream about guns and zombies daily :)

I had a dream where Jeremy Clarkson tried to kill me.

I have dreams where people kill me sometimes, but I always wake up just before I actually die in the dream.

I was assisting a top gear car review, jeremy was reviewing a fast car. I stole the car and went for a joy ride and jeremy chased me in another car toting a desert eagle. He caught up with me after a car chase and went up to shoot me, then I woke up.

Tbh i've got used to people and things trying to kill me in dreams, i can always dream up more weapons and stuff, but they always win! Bit of a bummer but its just a dream.

I was once shotgunned in the face and then went third-person so see my limp lifeless body bleed out onto the ground. It was possibly the most surreal dream I've ever had, not the scariest though. That would be when I cut the head of a hot girl I used to know at school, proceeded to rape her lifeless body, then paraded round the hotel I was in with her head on a stick before getting super paranoid and freaking out trying to hide the body; I don't think I've experienced relief like the relief I had when I woke up to find out I, in fact, didn't do those horrible deeds.

This made me realise I haven't dreamed in ages. Had some real trippy dreams when I was a kid tho :p

One was a mario-kart style race around our local leisure centre. Naturally, everybody was naked, and we were riding levitating newpapers, magic carpet style. Before getting into canoes and riding down a river.

My other favourite childhood dream was being Tails the Fox (you know, from Sonic). Again it was at the leisure centre (hmm...) All my friends were splashing in the water, but every time I tried to jump in the waters parted like the Red Sea, and I kept hitting the bottom of the pool. I remember being sad because I just wanted to swim!

These days I just zonk out and it's morning again :/

Not even close. My weirdest nightmares are really tame by comparison to some in this thread. :p

Likewise. The worst thing I've dreamt about doing was being late for work. I've had some weird dreams, but they're harmlessly weird things I'm a spectator to, not dreams of me being a nutter murdering people and parading around with their head on a stick.

It's odd how dreams make sense at the time. I work in a bingo club. I once dreamt that the manager was Father Christmas (actually Father Christmas, not a person dressed up as Father Christmas) and that bingo was being called by a little girl sitting on a chair at least 50 feet high, which fitted under the ceiling of the club despite being much higher than it. This all seemed perfectly reasonable during the dream.

People assign meaning to dreams because of ignorance. It's the usual thing - people make an explanation up rather than living with not having one. Don't know what causes thunderstorms? It's the anger of the thunder god. Don't know what you've seen in the sky? It's an alien spaceship. Don't know why people dream? It's a message from a god or the future or The Force or the dreamer's subconscious or...something.

Umm...

How do I call Team America?

I've posted in a similar thread but my weirdest dreams consist of:-

> Inability to speak when I'm scared and want to yell.
> Teeth crumbling or falling out.
> AWOL dad leaving me in a car while he fights and I roll off a cliff.
> Recently deceased grandads head falling off.
> Ex-girlfriend having a new man yet still taking advantage of me.

I reckon the dreams are helping me work through subconscious issues and they go away after a couple of times at most.

This is the worst dream I've ever had... Happened a few years back. I was dreaming that I was out with friends at a bar when suddenly, I got up from the table and went into the toilets. I remember there being a queue and I was just standing around for ages. Anyway, finally get a spot, undo my belt and at the very moment I start, I wake up... and you can guess the rest. :o

I dreamed a dream in time gone by When hope was high And life worth living.

I got a big trip coming up... Therefore most of my recent dreams are related to me getting there and/or failing to get there on time.

In the past ive had dreams of "life threatening" situations were i have a gun to defend myself but no or very few bullets or ironically lots of bullets but no gun :)

I do seem to have a kind of re occurrence to my dreams particularly with the location which changes its name to suit the theme of the dream..

God i wish i could sleep now :)
