'Round here it's mispronunced "aks" instead of this "arks" business. If I recall correctly Futurama have a long running joke about it.

My friend Emma's one of those coloureds, and she genuinely has trouble saying 'ask'. We rib her for it but it really does seem to be a problem for her. I dunno why.

I think that's a bit harsh though.. I always thought they did it on purpose until I met Emma, it seems genuine.

I usually say Arsk and my friends notice i say "Thats yawn" rather than "Thats yours"

It's usually to the little 13 year old "rudeboys" though, who speak perfectly well, albeit with a "lovely" SE london accent, who are just acting "cool".

Yes, it's un-PC, but ho hum. Seeing as I was talking about one of my closest friends I don't think I'm in much danger of actually joining the NF just yet

I don't know if you really picked up on it but I wasn't being deadly serious in my usage of the word.
