People who say "Arks" instead of "ask"

Yes, it's un-PC, but ho hum. Seeing as I was talking about one of my closest friends I don't think I'm in much danger of actually joining the NF just yet :p

I don't know if you really picked up on it but I wasn't being deadly serious in my usage of the word.

Sorry im not to bright ... i have been picking cotton all day and my massa says i should be mucking out the pigs and not reading forums ;)

Its West-Indian - possibly to do with cultural language defecit where West-Indian descendents have learned English in part from their West-Indian relatives who have a special version of pigin English...

Other examples include...

"flim" instead of "film" (similar to Irish "filum")
"pacific" instead of "specific"

Every time I make a run, girl, you turn around and cry. I AXE myself why, oh why.
See, you must understand, I can’t work a 9 to 5. So I’ll be gone ’til november..

Blame Wyclef people :p

I remember first hearing 'axe' (or maybe aks) on the start of an NWA track. I've never heard it used in England, not without being accompanied by massive amounts of laughter after.

You say aks, i say Axe.

It really ****** me off all that "trendy" lingo unless its a genuine speech impedement <sp> (lol) :p

Just listened to it there now and you're right!

Thankfully i've never heard of it over here, but the white middle class gangsta thing seems like mostly an English kind of thing.

We just have plain old chavs. :o
