Performance boost

Ahem, my XP 2000 has served me faithfully for the last four years so I finally convinced my mum to upgrade :p

It still plays all the latest games (Well, to an extent) :D

Been playing FEAR, CSS, HL2 etc. and they all work fine :)

Still gonna be using it, transferring it to my spare case.

If my current 3Dmark05 marks are 2302, would the 4200 along with a X1900 get around 10000?

i think they are totally crippled by slow fsb and ram tbh, A64's are in a different league,...

you will see a huge difference even with a single core a64 over a XP2000+..

after you overclock the X2 geeeez zooom zooom i say

Try shrinking a 200 minute DVD-Video to 4.3GB (DVD-R size) On my 4400+ OC to 2.5ghz it took 6 minutes. With only one core it took 11 minutes. In both instances CPU loads at 100%. Try the same, make sure task manager is showing 100% load.

10000 for that seems about right, thereabouts.
