Performance jump from Q6600 to i7 2600/2700k

Sorry to hijack this thread - I have a Q6600 (clocked to 3Ghz)

I dont do any decoding or anything - just watching movies, playing games (fifa, bf3 etc) and browsing internet...

Will it be a noticable upgrade for me? Can i use my existing mobo?

Is your graphics card being bottlenecked? If not, then no.

Can't use your same mobo as the Q6600 is a Socket 775 and the i7 2600k's are Socket 1155!
