Hi guys

Looking for a decent Impreza WRX quote, any ideas on performance car insurers?

Best I got so far is £1300 with 2 years NCB, 2 year license aged 28.

Green Light were the best for me by quite some way on my Astra VXR.
They only deal with performance and modified cars.
Never had to actually deal with them though apart from getting the quote and replacing the windscreen (which didn't actually require talking to them lol)

found a better price of
£1145.14 for full comp with £1k excess and my aunty as a 2nd named driver.

Ridiculous. Are you dead set on an Impreza? I stay away from Imprezas and Evos for this very reason. 2005 WRX ~280bhp, worth £11k - £1,400. 2008 ST, ~280bhp (map declared), worth £14k - £600.

What kind of age Impreza are you looking at?

Three best scoob insurers are Keith Michaels, A-Plan and Greenlight. Keith Michaels will only give you a good deal if you've previously been insured on a car of the same sort of power though. Still worth calling though. Ask for a man named Gary Moulson.

I've used Noel Dazely for a couple of years since going modded - they've always thrashed what quotes I could find myself.

Very cheap but I have heard that in the event of a claim you need to do all the chasing, they're not very pro-active.

Hi there

I was paying circa £530 for the Mustang with all mods declared with 5yr NCB.

The EVO which is a less powerful car, same insurer (yes I looked around) I am paying £850 for with 6yr NCB. But I do have 6 points which adds £120-£150 to the premium.

EVO/Scoobs are just expensive, plus high theft risk.

Seriously look at cars like Honda ATR, BMW 330i/530i.

Just spoke to Keith Michaels, nice bloke called Patrick. Managed to beat the interwebs...I'd certainly check them after doing all the comparisons, as it only took a painless 5min phonecall...
