I recently upgraded my rig and just had some questions about some games performance, as I'm positive my rig is good enough to run them fully maxed with no issues.

Rig:

Asus P7P55DLE Mobo
2x 5870 Vapor-x
Intel i5 750 @ 3ghz
8GB Corsair Dominator 1600mhz ram

I used to have a single 5850 instead of the Vapor-x's and could only play BFBC2 on medium, now I have it cranked up to max and never have any FPS issues.

But I recently installed Splinter Cell: Conviction and the 1st Assassin's creed as I was yet to complete it, and the amount of FPS drops I get sucks - especially in splinter cell. Assassins creed is good but not as good as I feel it should be, are those games just badly done console ports or something?

Any insight would be appreciated :)

I played Conviction and Assasins Creed 2 maxed out on this rig, take note of how old the GPU is. They both ran pretty much flawless with a very slight FPS drop just due to the limitations of the GPU on some very rare occasions during both games

Gigabyte 870A UD3
AMD 965 3.4
nvidia 8800GTS 640
4GB G.Skill Rip Jaw

Splinter Cell was messed up badly for me using dual 5970's, didn't stick around for a fix so I couldn't say what state the game is in now after a few patches/driver updates.

Having done some searches it seems quite a lot of people have had the same issues as me with the games in question. Seems to be luck of the draw to how it runs :/

Ok well thanks mate, Assassins creed is playable at least. Already uninstalled Splinter cell - ****ing ridiculous.

Thanks for the replies guys, given me some peace of mind. :)
