If you want quiet get a noctua 120mm run the 7v resistor and you wont hear it at all.

It is a little cable that you run inline with the fan that slows it down.

It was bought in 2006, anyway just swapped the fan ect, no difference, still making the same noise, so gonna buy a replacement.

Looking at buying very soon, Is this PSU any good or should I stick to 1 of my choices above?

For whats in your sig it is good, gold rated for under £50!!

You could even power a single 6950/6970 or GTX570 from it I reckon.

Given that lower end BeQuiet reportly not being able to reach it's rated spec I'd look for a decent review of any BeQuiet before I purchased.

Unfortunately cause they only sell in europe there aren't as many reviews of BeQuiet PSUs. :/
