Perpendicular raptors?

Hey, i'm really searching for a way to both speed up boot times and application launch times in general, plus of course transfer rates.
I've heard rumors that perpendicular recording raptors were coming, is this something anyone can confirm?

The new 300Gb raptor is alledged to use perpendicular recording technology and should be with us shortly - gone a bit quiet recently so who knows!

will they be like the current raptors but with twice the storage, and use SATA2?

300gb is absolutely enough for me, i'll throw my 500gigs into some external boxes for backups and movies then, that sounds really awesome.

Any kind of ETA or anything? Would be a good christmas gift for myself
