Personalised plates

That's exactly reason he did it I'm sure. Was the ANPR system about in the late 90's and wouldnt it just be impersonating the other plate he owns?

I wont insult your intelligence by suggesting that you are not aware of the reasons why vehicle registration plates should be clear and easily read by human and machine.

When I bought my car it had a 6 digit reg number with wrong spacing and a screw on the number 6 that made it look like a C, even failed it's first MOT because of that, the previous owner was using like that but I replaced the "dodgy" number plate with the correct one as soon as I got the car.

Also saw a car with the registration "L1" yesterday :) and I've seen a car long time ago with a reg "3"

Only us Brits are stupid enough to pay out £££/££££ to the DVLA for the use of a personal registration number.

I have a private plate, I bought it back in 2000 when the company closed our free staff canteen and gave us a cash handout in compensation. It happened to tie up with when I was buying a car so I decided to get a private plate with it. It's my radio callsign which was issued to me by the Home Office back in 1982 and is totally unique to me. It's in the format X1 XXX and needs no fancy formatting or spacing to be correct.

According to some people in this thread, this makes me a bad driver and a massive bell-end
