theres so many perspexs about and im unsure which type to buy

im ideally wanting the window to not show the components that are inside until the lights are on

so will cheapo tint stuff off the bay do for that ?

also whats best and most cleanest way to mount it flush if possible ?

Well I didn't have my old one mounted flush but if I am to do that for my new one then I would do something like the following:

Use U-shape black rubber covering for the metal edges, cut out a perspex shape to fit perfectly inside that for the actual window. Then I'd cut out a holding section of perspex. Basically draw out the shape of your window onto a perspex sheet, measure in 1-2 inches either side and cut it out. Use the 1-2 inches either side to hold it to the case and to bolt your actual window to.

It's hard to explain without a diagram really... (10 minutes pass)... So I made one:
