Persuade Me

I've just got my 360 as well. If anyone wants to add me its "Hair Metal Kev". I only have Smackdown and PGR 3 at the moment though. :)

I can be added as Jaym0nd

Someone help me find the mystery online mode with Test Drive Unlimited?

Thanks.

Not sure tbh, cant remember. Im still 50/50 opinion on the game so Im probably not the best person to tell you.

Latest family member is set up :D Just trying to find a damn spare plug, 18 devices in 3 sockets right now, i may be some time!

Hope the ventilation around the 360 will be ok like that, seriously running out of space! And the damn power suply box weighs more than me!! :D

Oh, and how long should i expect the batteries to last for in the pad? :)

Didn't actually buy any games with the console, rented PGR 3 & GoW and gonna go renting this week to see what tickles my fancy! :D

My 360 has to be my best purchase in years. I hardly touch my PC and PS2 for gaming anymore and all my gaming time is spent on Xbox Live and 2007 is a great year for the Xbox 360 there are so many great games coming out for it. Once God of War 2 is released and completed I will be retiring my PS2 forever (may get it back out for a run through of a Final Fantasy thats about it).

Upcoming Xbox 360 releases for 2007
Fable 2 (Exclusive)
Grand Theft Auto 4 (has exclusive downloadable content, but so will the PS3)
Halo 3 (Exclusive)
Assasins Creed
Alan Wake (Exclusive, PC doesn't count since its not involved in the next-gen console war)
Lost Odyssey (Exclusive)
Blue Dragon (Exclusive)
Halo Wars (Exclusive, same reason as Alan Wake)
Lost Planet (Exclusive, for now?)
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2
Splinter Cell 5 (a BIG maybe)
Two Worlds (Exclusive, same reason as Alan Wake)

And I'm sure more will be announced in 2007 (the above is what I'm personally looking forward to)

The 360 is currently connected to my Samsung LE26R74BD via component HD, would an MS HD VGA cable do a better job or is it just a waste of £20?

Some people say yes and some say no, but from the posts I've read through most of the people say the VGA does provide a better picture over the component connection.

2 more questions:

Whats the best mode to use, 720p or 1080i?

I was under the impression the 360 could improve the graphics of the original Xbox games, how do I do this? Sega GT2002 looks exactly the same on the 360 as my old Xbox...

Try both 720p and 1080i and see which you prefer nobody can decide which looks better for you.

The Xbox 360 can improve some Xbox games one of which is Halo 2 which is able to be displayed in 720p. If the games can support the higher resolution it will happen automatically.

Anyone here use a 360 with their Samsung R74? Which looks best 1080i or 720p?

Is there a list of which games will have improved gfx?

Thanks.

Ive got one, 720p looks better!

If you use 1080i the TV just downscales it to 720p anyway.

Yes, I found Vice City and San Andreas will play at 1080p over VGA but there is a bit of a framerate issue in most of the Xbox games I've played on the 360.
