hi guys, Ive been playing PES every single year since it started as ISS but ive been playing it on the consoles, Now ive just bought all the parts for my new PC build just in time for the new PES 11 and F1 2010, however I cant seem to find anywhere on the net whether this game is gonna be a 2 player game on the PC version, can anyone confirm this? have the older PES games been 2 player on pc? and if so Is it easy to connect 2 Controllers to the pc? thanks guys.

Yeah its fairly easy with X360 controllers picks up all the controls as well. Used to use PS2 controllers with an adapter and that also worked fine.

It is yes locally as well as over the net. Getting a decent game over the internet is hard though as the whole interface is pretty poor and the pings you are generally bad (for me at least).

locally you mean over LAN with 2 pcs? hope not haha, I really wanna connect 2 controllers and play on the same screen with my mates as I have done for the last 10 years or so on the consoles. yea its the same on PS3 mate when it comes to internet games, You do get the odd good connection though, i really hope they sort this out for the new 1, I remember PES 6 being perfect for online gaming not a single bit of lag. its been crap on every single one ever since. I read somewhere its because there is a lot more information being sent over the internet. which causes the lag.

Nah I mean on the same pc used to play against my mate at uni all the time on my pc and had no problems at all. Yeah I had the odd game with a decent connection but the majority were awful. Game freezes and suddenly your a goal down hehe :p

grrrr, They best sort this out for the new 1!!!!! or ill be really pished off. whats fifa like online?

PC version of FIFA sucks (it's not a console port, in this case it's a very bad thing), there's an online beta of a free-to-play FIFA Online that I game sometimes, it does suck too.

Jon KLJ, I like you have been a massive PES player on the PC and consoles since the days of Internation Superstar Soccer Deluxe what a game that was hey :). But like you said PES 6 was the last decent online gaming experience for pro evo and since then i must admit i am a fully converted fifa fan. I never thought id see the day i picked up my pad and sat on fifa for hours but fifa is always improving but pro evo only seems to be getting worse and more arcadey every year which is a real shame. I am very excited about the new fifa 11 pc version as like mentioned its using the console engine. I remember playing fifa 10 on the pc and i was like wtf is this, it was a completely different game to the consoles and a very poor one at that.

I really think konami should pull pro evo for a year and really start from scratch as the engine is really old and in desperate need for new ideas.

Rather than listen to peoples opinions of previous versions of games, the demo for Pro Evo is out on the 15th. Give it a go, they've overhauled the whole game and it looks very promising.

@ liamcrane your right there mate it is a shame, this aside tho I have always stuck with it, sounds mad but you adopt your game to the stupid mistakes of the game, like the players closing down without your permission so when u change to that player thats already started closing down it takes him a while to find pace, and if it is messi or ronaldo your defending against then u dont have a chance. I must admit, I dont think there are many problems with the attacking play as Ive scored some amazingly worked goals, this is why I wont switch to FIFA, its the frigging defending. having been playing online for all these years you do actually see diffrent styles of defending from other online players but it seems like the game is designed around one style of defending, and one style only, which is a shame. Also, And I dont know if its my paranoid head or what, but has anyone else noticed that when playing online with players who have a lower rating than you, it seems to be really biased to them, like they have a handicap or something in game. yes I will definately be getting the demo and checking it out, but i can almost guarantee Ill be PES11 this next year.

Agree mate but i must admit the one thing i do love about pro evo is the quickness of the game you can move from defense to attack in an instant, fifa is a lot slower and it took me ages to get the hang of it. As for defending i found myself to be a master of it to be honest, i always defend using "super cancel" as it free's up your players movement and stops them like you say closeing down when you dont want them to. Like you im deffo going to give this a try again this year didnt touch the last one, i really do miss my pro evo days, on the 360 i got my online rank to 80 in the world on pes6 i miss those days :(. When its out mate we will have to meet up on here and have a few games if you fancy it. Its hard to find pro evo players these days as so many of them have converted to fifa which i may add looks amazing again this year
