Couldn't find an official PES 08 thread on here to link this on, so made another thread.

Those of you who remember the original awesome Evolution patch for Pro Evo 6? Best patch out there imo! New one has just been released for Pro Evo 2008:

I think you need to register first, but should be worth it :)

The patch comes with the following improvements:

* Completely new over-worked Optionfile with all transfers and new teams. About 90% of the stats revised
* 100% original Teams
* 100% original Names
* 100% original Kits
* complete Bundesliga (German League)
* correct League and Cup names
* correct Stadium names
* new Soundtrack
* new chants for many Teams
* Teams without own unique chants have adequate generic chants
* new Callnames
* new Balls
* up-to-date Bootpack
* new Faces for many Superstars
* new Menus
* misc. new graphics (countries, positions icons etc.)
* fan reactions (German Version only)
* fan banners

thanks just been playin this online, will give it a try. btw any idea how to load up formations online? i hate having to set it up everytime i play.
 
No way it's full of lag and bugs online went back to pes6 day after 1.20 patch came out it fixed nout + there's still no 2v2 and theres no fixing those keepers.
offline it's okay though.

Ahh, I haven't played online, I just meant offline :)

However, having just said that the gameplay is much more fun, which it does seem to be (no more wtf through balls, better ball control and touches), the game now seems to be running too fast :confused: I've tried changing v-sync and all the other graphics settings, even turning my screen refresh rate down, but it still feels too fast. And the 'Top Player' i.e. maximum difficultly setting is now so easy :/ Even so, I still think it's much better than before. Bring on the next patch though :rolleyes::)

Not just yet, it was literally released only hours ago. A torrent should be available very soon. Also at the moment it's just lots and lots and lots of parts, and no single setup.exe possible atm unfortunately, so it's going to involve faffing around with AFS Explorer! However it's not difficult and totally worth it in my opinion. :)
 
Offline is a bit poor as well. Same with FIFA as well. They all seem to be get the ball and run (hold sprint button) and then cross and score. They all rely on the computer generated shooting as well. The fact that it changes to the wrong person or slowly changes to the right person is complete tosh as well (even when you press the change player button).

Certainly won't be buying the next one.

I much prefer the older games (SWoS / Kick Off 2) where you felt like you had some control.

yay, waiting for reg email now, just when i was in a mood cos my isps playing up, iv got some good old evo offline to play :D better get it sorted on me laptop too and take it into uni 2mor mwhaha
 
Cool, have been a pro evo player since the early days. Loved the evolution patch for pes6 and hope that this rekindles my interest for 2008. Haven't played it for months now, just wouldn't grow on me.
 
ive been playin 2008 online for quite a while now. all u have to do it make sure you play people with 3 bars. 9 times out of 10 its fine. of course u do get the ******** deliberately lagging the game at times (when im attacking in the other guys half it mysteriously lags). theyve even admitted to me theyve done it to! nothing u can do about it tho is there. that said i only play ranked matches, normal matches ppl wouldnt do that i expect.

one thing that does make my blood boil is the damn cut back. some players keep going for this all the time. and the keeper is bugged in terms he wont re-adjust his position when the pass arrives to the player infront of him. oh well all good fun imo :D
 
I'll only play PES on line against people I know, I hate playing against some foreign chap that lags all over the place. e.g. you're running down the wing and all of a sudden he's standing at your goal mouth putting the ball in the back of the net.

agreed, I don't play online as its just a bunch of kids you rarely find a decent fair player. I'd play online with any other ocuker altough I'm not the best. Anyone up for it?
 
they were meant to be adding a torrent, i give up waiting tbh, you cant polish a turd really.
If someone brought out a decnt master league mod id be happy.
