PES 2016 - Another **** "Hybrid"

Konami have lost the plot.

2016 will be another "hybrid" for the PC release.

They have lost a long time customer this time round.

Lazy, just Lazy.

When they said "Hybrid" last year, we got something which was on par with PS3/360.

They must be having major problems with the new gen engine on PC.

Well, this MIGHT be the year I finally install Origin :eek:

I'm so glad I stopped caring about Football games a few years ago. PES was always my favorite and it seems like the PC version is rubbish.
 
I think pes5 was the last one I bought, not cared for fifa since world cup 98, sadly theyve been going downhill for a long time.

Really needs more competition than just the same 2 games with new kits every year.

I remember the good old days of sensi soccer vs kickoff/goal, & when the consoles first launched there was plenty to choose from, used to love olympic soccer & one I cant remember the name of that came out at start of ps1 era.

After last years experience and now hearing this, I would not pick it up even at a fiver. Sad...
 
a **** PES and another couple **** fifa's the next years.

Seriously considering not buying fifa this year either since the keepers, and defenders are seriously mentally disabled in 15. Dont even get me started on the refs..
 
Well... I'm a terrible person I suppose. I bought PES2015 and was disappointed with the lack of care taken with the PC version however I did put loads of hours into playing the Master League regardless (pick up and play, no worrying about remembering story, controls etc like other games once left for a while...) and so I will probably end up having a little look at the 2016 version.

I know, I know, I'm part of the problem ;)
 
OK...

I tried the FIFA 15 demo, not feeling it.

I prefer the flow of PES but no way can I support them in their current form.
 
Not sure what to buy this year... I found pes better but as soon as you play online the gameplay just goes out the window, button delay, ridiculous tackles, lag, myclub game mode was grind fest as welll. I don't understand how they have been making football games for so long and they can't get it right yet.
 
Doesn't really bother me that its a hybrid, PES 15 has good gameplay, what bothers me is the lack of a decent online modes and more content in the game. I've given on footy games, havent played properly since fifa 13 and wont touch fifa again until they sort loads of issues out.

The footy sim market is crying out for a new player.
 
Gameplay wise Pes is superior in every way to Fifa, it feels more slick and responsive in comparison to Fifa which to me the whole gameplay feels slow, heavy, one dimensional and completely scripted (slow defenders always able to catch up to speed attackers). Fifa is and has been for some time now completely focused on Ultimate Team with the single player career mode hardly changed or brought anything new to. Pes Master League is rather iffy, however I quite enjoyed Pes 2013 in the fact you could earn points to unlock better player boots, skills and equipment like stopwatches to allow player stats to increase faster and better, the transfers were terrible though where each player had a % chance of buying and that never seemed to change, you could win the league and cups 5 seasons in a row and still the likes of Messi's chance of buying him would be stuck at 2%

On the other hand though Fifa comes with all/majority of the licensed teams, but lacks Europa and Champions League unlike Pes, and transfers ruin it by been too easy to sign superstars and unrealistic targets. Pes 2014 was a complete shambles on PC, Pes 2015 was a big improvement however the problem with PC users been shafted was a big let down (eg no HD graphics unlike the console versions).

I like the flow and gamplay of Pes, I like that it has the proper Europa and Champions League, I don't like the fake names and badges (without patches), The graphics look really dated, I don't like that recent versions of Pes seem to be against PC users, the Fox engine they kept screaming on about seems like false promises to PC users.

I hate the feel and gameplay of the Fifa, but I like the presentation of the menus and tactic screens etc, I hate the commentary of Alan Smith and Martin Tyler drumming on about the same rubbish, I like the official team names and logos, I don't like the unofficial cups.

Long story short, Fifa, Football Manager and Pes should join forces and make the ultimate footballing game :D

But as that won't happen, Pes remains the winner againt Fifa in my opinion, but as others have already said it's killing itself off with each PC release.
 
Another hybrid?

last pes was the first I did not get on launch day since iss pro evo 2 on ps1.

Again this time, means I ditch pc as my gaming unit and get a next gen console.
Sounds extreme but I play pro evo all year and a handful of other games. The last one being arkham knight hah.
 
Demo out on 13th August, no PC demo though.

I see they've added a new advanced collision detection to this, is this on the PC version also?

Being an 189cm,90kg athlete, a beastie boy, I've always laughed at the collision detection in footy games. Hopefully with this new one it will be a little more realistic.

I'm glad I've stopped caring about football games now. Last year was the first year I didn't buy either after having tried the demos. I installed the PES6 demo recently and it just felt right to play - even though it looks awful now!

All I want is a return to that style of play and Master League with a visual overhaul, but I can't see that happening. /moaning ;)
 
I don't think Konami like PC users very much do they? We always seem to be neglected when it comes to the Game Settings/HD Graphics and Demo availability etc on PC!

No.

What you get on PC is the new engine but without the upgraded eye candy, but the game plays identically on PS4 as it does on PC (PES 2015) I am talking about.

Precisely why they are doing this I have no idea, especially since both new consoles are basically PCs.
