What is it with that guy's left hand?

Has it been photochopped? Is he some sort of alien?

Ah, it's Jeremy Clarkson, the stupid and arrogant male member who published details of his bank account for a giggle and deservedly got ripped off :D

Oh yes - because just "leaving the country to get on with it" would just work so perfectly.

government should run the country, not interfere with every aspect of our life. Think of them as higher management. They oversee the big stuff, not the small teams/individuals.

To be fair, he genuinely believed that what he was saying was the truth, and was prepared to put his money where his mouth was.

Sure he was wrong, but you still have to give the guy some respect for that.

Also the guy who did it, donated the money to a diabetes charity, so I'm sure Clarkson will see some benefit from it in 15 years time :)

Cost of fuel now is taking the **** again, cheapest anywhere now is 94.9p, this time next week it'll probably be 96.9p. Out of which nearly 70p per litre going in that fat UNELECTED PM's governmental coffers.

Pfff you guys moan about THOSE prices?

Euro95 is 1.32-1.40 € per liter here now. Those prices you have are amazingly low atm.

It's creeping back up in here too, where it was very low before. I think it's just hit 97p/L.

Is oil regaining some of it's worth again?

Oil is still sub $60 per barrel; and the £ rose a bit against the dollar recently.

We are constantly told that petrol prices are based on 3-6month old oil price - yet if you look at the oil price 6 months ago it was in fact HEADING DOWN (was at around $60/barrel) and levelled off at $40-50 from December until mid March of this year.

As such, I cannot see any justification for fuel prices going up (remember £-$ has been around 1.4/1.5 for this whole period) until at least July.

I mean i know the tax went up by 2p but that should have taken the petrol prices, in my area, from 92.9 to 94.9, yet some how it's 97.9.

Price is creeping up round here also, back upto 96.9 most places. Thats another 2ppl in around a week. I could quite happily put £15 a week in and not use all of it. Back to putting in £20 and only just using less than I put in.

I heard that VAT was going back up even further, to somewhere near 19%?

Not sure if it's true though.

It is, they only dropped it to 15% for a year to get everyone out spending, then they are going to take it back, so they'll probs put it up to about 20% or something.

I've never seen a ballot paper with "WHICH PRIME MINISTER DO YOU WANT" on it, so have been unable to vote like that, is it different there?
