petrol prices

Paid 111.9 for petrol earlier today in Brighton which was quite cheap compared to some other places.

Not the way it works, he is on a company fuel card, as am i. Its going to get harder and harder to justify doing low 20's MPG-wise if we keep seeing these rises.

Indeed :(

Must be quite a big fuel tank in your BMW?

70 litres in the E39 - I wish mine was bigger, if anything, for longer range. I've filled up twice this week and have less than 1/4 of a tank left now, so will need to fill up again tomorrow on my way out.

What bothers me most about the rising fuel cost is what are the elderly going to do while living on a fixed income .

It dosnt bother me much but it will really hurt ppl that only have x amount of money every month to spend on fuel to get to work .

How much do the elderly need to drive?

They also get free bus passes and can theoretically get anywhere they want in the UK gratis.

What kind of MPG does a superbike get?

I read the Suzuki GSX-R1000 only gets 40 MPG on average. A lot lower than I expected given its massively reduced weight vs a car.

I use to get less then 40mpg on my Yamaha R1 (roads in france,,,not guernsey)

(maybe get 40mpg at 60mph on a motorway)
