:D

Travelling home from Telford yesterday, i pulled out behind quite a long queue of traffic which consisted of several cars, and at the tail end 2 lorrys, both pulling trailers.

The 2nd driver was a Culina driver, and as i live right near the distribution centre, knew i'd be behind him pretty much all the way home.

About 5mins after i got behind the traffic, the Culina driver starts hammering the horn, he was doing it constantly and wouldn't let off. I assumed the first driver had maybe slammed his brakes on or something. He was that absorbed in tooting, he mounted a central reservation!

Anyway, we get to the roundabout and the first driver goes left, and the second goes right, as the first one goes left, i just caught glimpse of his rear door... flying open as he went around the corner!!

Could have been an accident if there was something coming the opposite way stuck tight to the white lines!

You'd think driving something so large that they would check and double check the load before setting off, eh R124?! ;)

Second most stupid thing i've seen now, the first being a driver leaving the yard, going around the corner and the trailer carrying straight on and departing the unit!!

:D

When I was a kid we were following a box van up the steep hill up to Crystal Palace and the washing machine in the back just rolled straight out and smashed all over the road. That was quite amusing but a good job we weren't too close :D

The ladders fell off one of our vans a couple of weeks ago and landed on the car behind

'twas more to do with a poorly designed mounting system than not checking them though.

Nothing drastic, but I was on a steep hill, and the little hatchback in front of me decided to pop it's boot and pour someone's shopping all over the road.

Most of it was retrieved , but any thing round went quickly downhill :-)

Remember when I first started uni, my mum took me up there and we were almost there and we both looked at the car in front and said, that bike doesnt look very securely strapped on the rack, about 2 mins later it fell off, luckily we were far enough back not to hit it.

Shocking that the other driver did not stop to see what was up with the following driver, never mind the fact he seems to not use his mirrors!

Alas, hardly surprising, I have seen this many many times.

Trailer doors make one hell of a mess if they hit an oncoming vehicle.....

I was @ Culina when the other incident happened, the guy coupled up but managed to get his trailer pin just infront of the 5th wheel hence the unit being able to pull the un attatched trailer, as soon as the unit turned, off it came.

I've seen this more than once too!

Truckers! :rolleyes::p

I saw an arctic wheel just rolling down the motorway once. It was huge...

I few miles down the motorway, we saw a lorry going along with one of it's wheels missing... Sparks were everywhere!

I was following a guy in an estate with a mattress on the roofrack... not too odd i hear you say... but he just rested it on there, then proceeded down a 60mph bypass... suffice to say it blew off :/
