Ah, makes sense. How would you recommend disposing of it? I've got an oil container in the garage for used car oil, safe to chuck it in there and dispose of at the local garage?

me bottle in oil container as you suggest and dispose of at local tip. It should never go down grey waste line (normal drain).

Just halfords DI water and 2 kill coils for me, worked fine for years

You might be onto something there NoName, but I've just checked and still got almost a litre of Pure H20 left in the cupboard so I'll be diluting it with the posh stuff again this time

Right, I've run some new water through to dilute it (and managed to let some bloody air in ) and it's now around pH 8 - 8.5, so I think I'll leave it at that for now. Cheers for all the help and advice guys
