Decided it was finally time to get the desktop back, after months of sticking to my laptop, it's been sadly missed, so why not go all out aye.
Working for overclockers, building your beautiful systems, made me finally want to do something for myself.

I've not got an exact spec list at the moment so it'll be a little vague, I'm playing the exact components by ear at the moment but here goes:

Case: Phanteks Evolv Micro ATX - Gunmetal
Motherboard: Z97, Looking at Gigabyte z97m Gaming at the moment, always gone gigabyte but thinking of looking into Asus for once.
Processor: i5 4690K
RAM: 16GB Kingston HyperX Beast 1600MHz
Graphics card: EVGA 980ti
PSU: Superflower, either 750W semi Modular or 650w Leadex

The loop, again, going to play it by ear but i i do like the look of the XSPC Acrylic Tank..

And the EK-Supremacy EVO CPU block...

Still deciding between monsoon or EK fittings.

The concept for the build will be grey and purple. The case being gunmetal, the inside being painted purple. I'll be braiding all cables in grey, hopefully all front panel headers as well but well see.
The coolant was the hardest to pick as i can't seem to find the colour i want but I'm slowly getting there and making the shade i want using the Mayhems Purple dye. Might add a touch at the end and get my windowed side panel etched with a Japanese cherry tree but not looked into that one just yet, I've got to ask around a little first.

Started working on it today and so far I've been able to completely strip the case, taking out the back panel and the PSU and HDD cover. Should have this coated in the next couple of days.

Will keep you posted! :D

So no extra pressure to do an awesome build being OCUK staff then... ;)

IMHO you have already made a great start with the choice of case! Good luck with the build matey!

I'll be watching this closely, as I'm going to be starting a similar project next month with the Phanteks Evolv ATX case, but in Black....such a nice case.

Case primed and ready for the purple :)

First time doing this sort of modding so feeling proud. My only regret... Not wearing rubber gloves! Good thing i don't mind getting my hands dirty!!!!

Thanks for all the support guys. Will upload more when i've got the paint all finished and case is back together.

There is definitely something appealing about a nicely presented purple box that's wet inside, looking forward to more pics...
