Phanteks Evolv X2

They really made it look MUCH more meh, it was a real eyecatcher originally. :( And it comes with no fans. Even the cable channels on the rear were removed. Why showcase a product, then remove the things that made it stand out?

Completely agree, first time i saw it i was 100% getting this case now, it wont be happening

I'd need 140mm fan and AIO support personally. As others have said Silver and Black looked a lot better. Gold looks nice but not sure how you'd get a consistent look with a gold gpu, perhaps with a Pro Art or a MSI Inspire.

What do you think - are the black aluminum panels painted? Maybe you can remove the black color with fine sandpaper so that they are silver?

Exactly.
I was convincing myself of a case change, but not happening now.
As the GPU will need as much airflow from the bottom, as there isn’t anywhere else for it (side and front), moving the PSU to the front of the case, like the Lian Li 217 would be a better choice, as in the best scenario, the first 15-20cm of the GPU won’t get any direct airflow.
I know is a lot to ask, but I would’ve created an isolated compartment within the bottom “enclosure” as close to the front as possible, and create some sealed channel to guide the air from the bottom to the bottom 3 fans.

I noticed the Phanteks Evolv X2 seems even more reasonable now on Overclockers website from £129.99 for black.

You guys that are thinking of getting the Phanteks Evolv X2 case, what other alternative PC cases are you considering?
I just want to keep my options open for my next PC build.

Not a bad looking case, i think with multiple colour options it would look great (thinking like the Nintendo Switch colours for example, one in blue, red etc.)

I was worried that the release of the Evolv X2 would cause me buyers remorse for choosing the new Eclipse G400A just before Christmas, but after reading the reviews, I'm happy with my decision. The X2 looks premium and unique, but it is too restrictive fan-wise.

It's between this and the Antec C8 Wood for me.

I'm warming to the X2. I just with it had better colour options. The black is dull. A white build would t suit my room. And the gold is a bit bright.

It also would have been nice if we got the bundle deal they have in the US. The case is $149, but you can get the case, 1x M25-120 fan, 3x M25-120 reverse blade fans, and the Nexlinq hub for just $189!

Love mine,

Bought both a white and black to create a franken case lol.

The black with silver looks crap, so my son is having it :D

All seems good to me lol.

I have a 14900kf and a RTX 4090 in there, temps all under control.

Other than that I don't worry about it :D

Airflow seems pretty much on par with the HAVN VGPU case I had prior to this.
