Hey,

I have this riser bracket in my Nv5 but its obviously a PCIE Gen 4 riser cable:

  • Has anyone replaced the gen 4 cable with a gen 5 one?

  • If not do you think it would be possible?
Thanks

Looks very easy to replace just unscrew the 2 screws on each side of the riser cable in the picture then that plate should come off ,take out the pcier riser allowing a pcie5 riser to be put threw. Then put the screws back in

Why don't you have a play with yours to see if it possible.

Was going to get this for my nv9 but I'll loose the use of my ae plus soundcard, how does the rgb connection work.

what GPU are you thinking of buying?

if you was to get a 5090, i would think your limiting factor would be the 5800x3d and DDR4 ram before you had any PCIE link speed problems
