tomorrow I should be receiving a mach 2 gt and I was trying to plan out what to do with it. I thought something like this

1. start up before installing to make sure it's working ok
how long should I run it for?
2. remove mobo and install cpu kit + cpu
3. put mobo back in and connect vap head
how long do I have to wait after switching it off from testing before it is safe to start flexing the tube?
4. get to work

is there anything else that I should be doing?
my initial plan is to set it up at the side of my pc60 before i mod the case. Will this work without placing too much stress on the vap tube?

Personally I would run it until the head temp gets down to about -50C and as far as I'm aware there's no reason why you can't flex the hose straight away.

There's no problem with running it at the side of the unit.

cheers.

missus is working an unexpected night shift as well so once the little un is in bed , I'll get a good play with it! :)

Before you start it up, make shure that it has been stood still for 24 hours. Just like fridges and freezeer's they need the time for the liquid's to settle before turning on.

News to me, should be fine straight out of the box, mine certainly was, just make sure that it's the correct way up, and if it hasn't been used for a long time it may take several minutes to start to cool down as the compressor lubricant absorbs the refrigerant and it needs to be warmed up to release it again.

News to me

It may well be news to you Jokester but a phase unit is just the same as a f/freezer at the end of the day. Turning them on straight after being tansported can and does shorten there working life by up to 50%. If you read the instructions for any good f/freezer it will tell you that, as well as the manufactuers web sites.
