Hi guys,
While i realise it comes down to luck, what are the chances of getting one of these chip's to unlock to full quad core?
I've read that since AMD have been getting higher yields on the quad cores, these crippled dual cores have a much better chance of an unlock. Any body have any experience with this??

From what I have seen on the internet, the chances seem reasonably high but its definitely not guaranteed. In my opinion, the dual core 555 might be worth a gamble to save £30 and maybe you could return it under DSR if it doesn't? Not sure how much the triple core is as OCUK don't seem to sell it.

It all depends on how bothered you are about saving £30 to take the risk of not unlocking to a quad core and also if it does, how well it will overclock as a quad.
