Started to OC my Phenom 2 940 today as my Asus M3A79-T arrived.

So far I've been able to get to the following...

3570MHz clock (210x17)
2100MHz HT and NB
1.42/44v (jumps up to 1.44 under load)
51C full load temps

This is 3Dmark06 and vantage stable as well as OCCT (pending, 30 mins so far).

If I try to go any higher on these volts, I get BSOD.

Settings I've tried..

17x215 (1.4v), 3D marks complete but BSODs within 10 seconds of starting OCCT.

18x210 (1.425v), BSOD on windows load.

Suggestions as to what I can change?

Heh that is relevant. Should have mentioned that.

Thermalright Ultra 120A (Not the extreme) but I only have 1 fan on it.

This one. Would it be a good idea to attach a second one as a pull so I have a push-pull config? Would it drop temperatures at all?

EDIT: Is it just a case of needing more volts through it?

you can still put a few more volts through that i'd imagine, im no amd expert, but 51c is pretty good for 3.5ghz. i know the nehalem builds struggle to get over 4ghz without properly tweaking with it.

Yes but I can downclock the NB multi to make sure that it doesn't die.

I know it's not the NB frequency because I'm currently running it at 2100MHz with 210FSB which is faster than at the 215FSB as I didn't touch the HT multi.

Are you pumping some volts through the NB before you try raising it too far?

1.5v on air should be ok with the Phenom II.
