I'm new to overclocking. Thats why i am here, i know what to do but i might be doing it wrong. Everything i know i have made up as i go along and i havent read much on things like i should, now i think its my time to do so.
So im calling you overclockers out there to help me answer a few of my questions, and tell me what im doing is good / bad.
My pc spec is as folows.
amd x4 9850 black ed 2.5ghz im using ocz vendeta 2 cooler 2.5ghz
using mx-2 thermal paste (better then artic silver)
gigabyte ga-ma790x-ds4 mobo
4gb ddr2 ocz ram 800mghz 4-4-4-12
killernic xeon pro
asus 4870 1gb
ocz 1010w psu
i have overclocked it to 3.2ghz on a x16 multiplier increased the voltage from 1.392 to 1.450 it runs at a temp of no more then 40 at load and +18 hours usage.
i was wondering have i made the right increase in voltage? could i do anymore? and what are the risks involved? apart from frying the cpu could i hurt my mobo? im scared when it comes to increasing the voltages.
Can anyone engliten me?
