At a guess, you'd probably never notice the difference even if you did installed it.

However, I'm not convinced - from reading around the web - that the patch is necessary for average and even enthusiastic Joes. So I wouldn't.
 
Considering the coming Black edition with unlock multiplier can reach easily 2.9 Ghz at stock volts is going to be a bargain :)

About the bug, i have never seen any proof of that so i guess the fix is not necessary for a normal user.
