Hi, I was wondering whether or not the RAM issue affecting Phenom II's and DDR3 clock 1333MHz or over has been resolved yet?

I have 2 DIMM's in one channel at the moment and the frequency has been, according to the BIOS and AMD overdrive, underclocked to 1066MHz. I come from a coding background so I'm not really sure what the implications are.

I have flashed my BIOS to the latest version as a update to the memory module was noted in the change log but the frequency has remained the same.

Any advice or info will be much appereciated.

I thought the bug was past 1333 speeds, have you tried manually setting the divider to make sure you arent overclocking the cpu as you do it?

AFAIK the bug affects any RAM at 1333Mhz or greater. Everything is running at stock at the moment, other than updating the BIOS and setting the date I haven't modified anything.

What kind of bug, because I am running Phenom II 955 with 8GB Corsair DDR3-1600. Please elaborate, thanks.

I am not sure exactly what the bug is, it's been present since release so I thought it might have been resolved. I am pretty sure that the effect, from a normal users point of view, would be unnoticable.

In systems with more than one DDR3-1333 unbuffered DIMM on a channel, the processor memory subsystem may exhibit unreliable operation over the allowable VDDIO voltage range.

The above is from the AMD Revision Guide. If anybody wants to translate it feel free ;).

Change your ram divider, up your memory overclock to match the ram SPD, then lower the cpu mutiplier to keep original speed, or look at overclocking the cpu.
