I flashed my M2N32 with the BIOS that supports Phenoms and the machine CRAWLED, at leat a 40% performance loss, albeit still with a dual core.
I read that to get 4 cores working on a board built for two, it has to slow most of it's timings right down.
My bro's Phenom holds it's own against my Q6600 perfectly well, and in some games, hammers it. In others, I win by miles. I DO have nearly 1GHz more speed though.
I've benched AMD's against Intels several times and neither one beats the other on every test.
