Philips 240PW9EB - new H-IPS

Stealthy and industrial to you is cheap, tacky and old fashioned to me.

And yes the Hazro looks like a £400 monitor but it doesn't perform like one.

Which is why hang-ups on aesthetics are pointless. Are you really going to turn down a good monitor just because the bezel and stand don't conform to your idea of good looking?

It must be nice to have the time to gaze at a bezel, I'm too busy working and looking at the panel to notice mine! :p

Have you actually had one...

I wouldn't say that the Hazro doesn't perform like a £400 monitor because after the firmware update mine does exactly that AND has a perfect calibration a few hundred hours on (at 120cd/m2).

You might have had a different experience but I (and some others here) have not had such bad experiences and I think you'll find an equal number of people have had issues with ALL monitors not just a particular one.

Like I've said a hundred times before, I've had all the popular big 24" screens now that on paper met my needs but they all had problems including the Hazro but that one was the only one where the problems were resolved - granted after much waiting but it got there in the end.

It's also true that people are more happy, more productive looking at and working with things that are both easy on the eyes and does the job. Why are Apple Cinema screens styled so do you think? they look great and also perform great.
