These are impressive for the money, £40 for a 5.1 setup thats actually a quality brand is very good value. Impressed with the audio quality from my iphone, Spice Girls never sounded so good! :)

This is a great offer. If I wanted to use this with my TV and WDTV Live do I just plug the 3.5mm jack into the TV?

Nope.

These don't have a decoder built in.

So your source needs to have a front, rear and centre outputs. So they are mainly designed for PC's with 5.1 or above sound cards.

yet the description says that the input is a single, stereo 3.5mm jack?

really tempting at that price but not sure I can justify getting them considoring I already have a 5.1 system even though they are a bit dated now :(

How's the 5.1 work if they only have a stereo jack? Must have some sort of decoder in the sub.

Guessing these won't sound like true 5.1 plugged into a Bravia bluray screen/ setup?

are they worth a go for the money? Currently using just the TV's speakers.

The speakers use three stereo jacks.

First one is for 2.1 operation.

Then there is two jacks which need to be plugged into the source to get rear and centre speakers outputting. :)
