Eeeek epilation of the face :o - you be telling us to wax our faces next!

BTW I find wilkinson sword razers to be the best! Blades last a lot longer and less rash!

Yeah but if you do use a epilator it'll be totally smooth...and probably only need to do it once a week? Dunno how painful it would be. Anyone dare to have a go? :)

What does it do?
Pull out the hairs?

I have the Philishave Cool Skin. It's the only electric shaver I've used so I can't really compare it to others. It's very handy when I just need a quick shave and haven't got time for all the wet shave business.

But an electric shave just doesn't feel as complete as a wet shave. I often find I've missed bits and it brings me out in reds marks all under my chin (when I'm not using any lotion). That may just be the way I'm doing it but it does look a bit unsightly. As already mentioned, refills are expensive so most the time it will be without lotion.

A lazy person like me relies on the electric shaver. It does what I want it to do and a little after shave balm helps after shaving. But if you feel you can wet shave every morning then I'd stick with that.

Have braun improved the foil bit? I remebered brothers braun only lasting a few years, the foil was wearing down or split, too costly to replace. Dads Philips is over at least 25 years old and still working fine and still cuts.

Like I say, I've had Braun for 32 years, they still use the foil and I change it about every 2 years at a cost of about £10. I'm on about my 6th shaver in all them years.

I've found all the electrics to be slow and none give a good shave.

I agree.

I've always been a wet-shaver but recently bought a Braun leccy for the "let's give it a whirl" factor.
It's ookkaayyy at best to be honest, but to get anywhere near a decent shave takes me around five to six minutes of running the thing over my face at every different angle of attack and direction I can contort my hand into. Even after that I will see quite a lot of missed hairs, especially in the throat area plus my skin will be irritated pretty badly.
This then of course results in me bringing out the Mach 3 to finish off.......while wishing i'd just used it from the start and saved myself a lot of hassle and irritation.

Fully water-proof and spunks the cream on your face on demand :p

I am never using mine ever again after reading that!

It is great in the shower, but if I have an spare 5 minutes I will wetshave.

Got much the same problem(?) at the moment. I'm using one of the Philishave cool skin jobbies and whilst it's ok it's not great. For weekends and nights out I go for a wet shave but first thing in the morning for work that's just too much like hard work.

Been toying with a replacing the razor for a while now, sounds like Braun are the way to go for a dry shave although they may not last as long as the philips jobbies.

I'll go have a look this afternoon although I have a feeling the prices for a half way decent one are going to give me heart failure :D

I tend to wet shave the night before work to be honest, my hair doesn't grow that quick so it's fine overnight. I do have an electric for when I need a quick shave, but it does miss a lot of hairs unless you spend ages with it, and by that time you could have had a wet shave.
