Man attacked with broken bottle

A teenager has been stabbed in the stomach with a broken bottle outside a pub in Greater Manchester.

The 19-year-old man was attacked by a phone box outside the Red Rose pub, on Greenbrow Road, Newall Green, in the early hours of Saturday.

Police believe he had just left the nearby Firbank pub to make a phone call before he was attacked.

The victim was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.

Greater Manchester Police are appealing for anyone who knows anything about the attack to come forward.

This is an outrage!

It's those new phone boxes I tell you, the bt ones. Not like in the old days with the red phone boxes. Back then there was no need to lock your doors, not like today I tell you.
