Dad is looking to get the WnW, and is wanting a phone for Browsing & Mail.

The ones he has been looking at are:

MDA Touch
MDA Mail
MDA Compact III

Which would you get?

And any others to look at?

So far he likes the Touch the most, but not sure whether its possible to connect a keyboard to this at any time, like them IR Keyboards?

Ta for any help.

Are you looking at Windows Mobile only? Have you looked at some of the symbianOS phones out there? IMHO much snappier sharper phones but equally as good at light browsing and probably better at mail and voip...

Not specifically, just ones that are offered by T-Mobile WnW.

I'd say wait for the Nokia E51 to come out on t-mobile (either end of this month or next) that's what i'm doing. It's super fast, very small, has Edge/3G/Wi-fi and very capable. That or go for the Nokia 6120 Classic which is basically the same without Wi-fi. Can be had sim free for less than £100 if you're lucky! Both can be (or will be) had on on w'n'w with t mobile and the 6120 Classic can be had on some impressively cheap packages!

For me SymbianOS is far superior compared to WM6, but that is just my opinion...

Looking to get a WnW (maybe two) soon, so need a decision :p.

Dad;

Get a N95 and just use that, or get a phone to resell to get N95 8GB.
Get a HTC Touch.
Get a Vario III.

Each of the above we want a GPS system on it, so which would you use?

For me, im wanting something easy to text with, browse and a good camera, narrowed it down to Vario III and N95, perhaps the Compact III. What would you do?

TomTom will work on symbian or WM it's upto you what you prefer, WM being touchscreen probably gives a more "normal" satnav feel to it. But i'd still choose symbian because of its speed/stability/better phone capabilites. I mean if you want a *great* sat-nav, go and buy a sat-nav...

Anyone able to supply (hopefully N95 or Vario III) pictures of both on internet & running GPS (CoPilot or TOMTOM)?

Many thanks.

What do you mean, both definately run it if you buy the software, and the internet works on both. Slightly different on both though. Does he want a phone as main function or a PDA, thats what settles this.

PDA = Vario III IMO not great to use regulary as a phone
Phone = N95 IMO not as easy to use as a touchscreen for PDA functions, but it does the job great.
