Need something for my dad.

Already got a Tmobile PAYG sim so that limits it to Orange/Tmobile.

Budget is essentially limitless, however he doesn't need a smart phone and has to be reliable, easy to use and a good sized screen.

Options?

I bought my dad an iPhone 4 and he loves it, he "didn't need a smartphone" either :p

I'm sure he would get on with one fine (though you can judge that better than me).

If its truely limitless then get him down a shop to play with the top of the range Windows Mobile 7/iOS/Android/Blackberry phones and see what he likes?

Will look at the 3310, cheers.

This was a joke that went over your head sorry, the 3310 came out about 10 years ago.

The market as of last quarter is ~70% smartphone so the phone selection is accordingly that biased now. I'm going to suggest a slightly leftfield suggestion - a blackberry. They are simple to use, come in a raft of models (I usually tell people not to get the 8520 - it's 2g only and sold by networks because RIM sell them cheap in bulk, RIM make much better) and hey, email is nice. If you can get him to use Whatsapp then score.

Well, no, that reminded me of a phone a friend of mine uses.

Can't remember the model 5510? or something.

He keeps on banging on about how it phones and texts and works perfectly and is extremely rugged.

So I bought one off him.

Job done!

3310 isn't actually a bad idea - My dad loved his and had it right up until last year. Great battery life, simple to use and solidly built.
He's got a Blackberry 9700 now but apart from work emails he doesn't really use any of the media or internet features.
