Phone-Free Contracts

Hi

I've come to the end of my 12 month orange contract and am weighing up my options, I am still very happy with my SE w800i and don't see any phone out at the moment that would be a worthwhile upgrade.

I could take out a new contract with an upgrade and sell the phone on ebay.... But that is a bit of a hassle. Is there any way I can take out a new 12 month contract without an upgrade at a reduced monthly rate? I figure with most contracts you are paying for the phone so hope to get something quite cheap.

Any thoughts or advice?

Vodafone give you more minutes and text if you take out a SIM-only contract. (Double minutes and 1000 text, IIRC)

O2 only give you more text for the same money as the normal, with-phone tariff. (1000 text, same number of minutes).

Both of them are 1 month contracts, so you can cancel it to move the number at any time.

I did this for a few months while waiting for the TyTN, and found it was a good way of getting better value for money for a few months.
