Phone or network problem?

When i phone my girlfriend, her phone doesn't ring, i just get put to the answer phone. She hasn't got any texts either. I've tried phoning her from two mobiles both on Orange and Vodafone, but her phone doesnt ring.

Its a pretty new phone (U600) and has worked fine untill yesterday. She can phone my phone fine.

Would you say this is a network issue in her area, or a phone fault. She doesnt have another phone to test her sim card in either.
 
Could be either at this point. You need to try her SIM in another phone. Stick it in yours and phone from another mobile/landline.

I can't, as we are apart at the minute. I wont see her for 2 weeks.

It's really annoying me, she thought i was ignoring her. It was only yesterday when she come on MSN that i realised she wasn't getting any texts or phone calls.

I thought it was a network blip, and it would be fine today, but i've been phoning her on and off all day and its just going to answer machine :( It's now making me think its the phone, as this has never happend before :o

Orange. We have both upgraded to new phones (u600 and omnia) and now we get problems.

Never experienced this on Orange for the 5+years i've been with them. She said she has full signal as well, strange.
 
I had the same problem when I bought a new K800 on Orange a few months back. I could send a text to my other phone (vodafone) but it just wouldnt receive it. This also happened with the other operators too. I rang orange and they said I had a faulty number, they had to give me a new one. I think that may be your problem :)

Shes had the same number for years though :confused: She put her old sim in the new one. The new phone worked fine all last month. It's just the past two days that it hasn't been ringing or getting my texts.
 
She's put the simcard into a different phone, and i STILL can't phone her, straight to answer machine. Yet she can phone me.

What would you suggest now? Network issue in her area, wait it out? (This is the 3rd day)

Trying to get her to put her spare orange sim in the phone and try that, to see if it's somehow linked to the simcard, or just Orange in general.
 
Has she accidently enabled divert all calls to mailbox?
The phone should have options for enabling/disabling/checking what diverts are set. If not try these for checking ('[SEND]' is the key use to initiate a call):

*#21#[SEND] -- query divert all calls
*#21*11#[SEND] -- query divert all voice calls

She text me earlier and said she just got about 100 texts off me :p

Looks like they all come flooding through in one go. I phoned her phone and its now working.
