Photo Editing software which one?

I'm still running lightroom 6

Although I would like the extra stuff cc brings I'm worried they will hike the price up once I'm committed. I'm not planning on changing my work flow and lightroom is good. Maybe an alternative might be significantly cheaper if your sticking with it for 5 years.

I recommend lightroom initially forgetting about the cc subscription cost.

Nothing wrong with tweaking an image, results on the camera don't always match what you intended when you're viewing on a calibrated monitor or printing out.

Pros use it, I think they know how camera works :)

I try to get the best image possible in camera when take the shot.
However limitations due to light, location, people, vantage point etc mean a photo may not look as good as it could have been.
A friend introduced me to PS and show me some basic tweaks like blurring the background, removing objects ( from a wedding shot I took he removed light switches, pipes etc from a reception room decor ) from a photo, and I must say the end result was pretty damn good !
Some shoots will have variables you just can not control.
