Hello wise and wonderful people of this forum I need advice. I want to build a system that primary use is photo shop but can also play games. Need to be able to handle two screens. I have one screen already so need another. So need to build a system and get a monitor for £1000.
Thank you in advance for your help peeps

Any personal reason for Nvidia over amd? Technically AMD is best value for money, GTX 1660ti is more powerful , and matches £280 Vega 56 for GPU power and less volts but lacks 3 free games .

Gtx 1660 non Ti is obsolete as gtx 1660 is out In. 2 weeks time

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £987.11 (includes shipping: £13.20)

Those are nice specs. And the monitor could be best choice for the money for gaming. Though maybe read up on photoshop and curved monitors. Some tend to prefer non-curved for such work. And some prefer VA (great blacks and contrast) and some IPS (better viewing angles and colour consistency) type panels.

If in doubt, and definitely wanting to favour Photoshop work over gaming, something like a 24" 1440p IPS like an Asus VX24AH might be a pretty safe choice. You can find those for £189.

24" is often found to be a bit small for 1440p in some ways (reading text mostly) but with higher PPI (pixels per inch) it can be of benefit to photo editing (122 PPI on 24" 1440p v 109 PPI on 27" 1440p).

There's also a Viewsonic VA2719-2K-SMHD (27" 1440p IPS) available for £199.

And a Dell P2418D (24" 1440p IPS) for £216. You pay more for Dell but they tend to have among the best quality (as far as monitors go) and the best customer service.

1660Ti should handle 1440p 60Hz gaming, as well.
