Photo Uploading solution

Girlfriend has just left for travelling and I'm trying to sort out her blog.

I've sorted the blog no probs sitting on top of wordpress. Only problem being 1) The uploading facilities aren't great for mass uploading pictures, she would have to select a pic at a time. 2) My hosting isn't ideal, as I only have 350mb (vidahost) I'll no doubt need a lot more.

I'm basically asking for ideas for the whole solution. Is there a free to use commercial image uploader that has good facilities for batch uploads? and would I easily be able to automatically link this into her blog?

Or would it be easier to get a host with more space (any ideas?) and handle uploads myself, it would integrate with the blog easier this way. If so does anyone know of a good image upload script?

Not sure if this is the best solution, but you won't need to change hosts.

Good option, only flaw is uploads via web are done selecting one picture at a time

Coppermine has a bulk FTP import option, I'm not sure whether coppermine integrates with wordpress though...
