What annoys you the most about photography or even fustrates when you are out in the field

For me it has to be Dog Owners, yes there are some well trained dogs but some owners let their dogs run up to you and let it run around barking and growling. Or even worse jumping up at you covered in mud thinking it's play time!. Seriously the amount of times i've delt with owners and their damn dogs when away from the path doing photography bugs the hell out of me!

Also another is wind, might look good in a rare amount of shots but it can be a real pain when you see a nice reflection and it ripples the water or blows your camera aside.

Wind has got a few of my shots ruined. On a tripod up in the mountains taking photos of the football stadium in town. It vibrated the tripod which ruined the photo. I dunno what to do, if anything, that can stop that :(

Other photographers coming up to you for a quick chat (which I dont mind) but it then turns into a 30 minute conversation during which you wanted to take some photos!

Dogs have never bothered me at all really.

Sturdier tripod or heavy hanging weights.

seeing something you want to make a photo of but not having the right lens with you to take that photo.

Seeing something you want to photograph and not having your camera on you! or stuck in a car / train :(

Oo I just remembered my favourite one. The weather suddenly turning and it pouring down so I can't go out.

Someone lend me money for a sealed body :p

Has to be the daft mistakes that are totally my fault, leaving a lens on manual focusing or (and I'm terrible for this) using 2sec delay in lieu of a remote shutter release and forgetting to turn it off! Cue a deer walking out onto the path I'm on only for me to press the shutter and beep, beep, beep .....oh bugger!

Only problem being that you have to carry them UP the mountain first! ;)

Just take a small sack or bag and fill it with rocks on site, that or tie a couple of L series lenses together ;)

I'm forever:

Leaving the camera on a 2 second delay.
Forgetting to clear the memory card before leaving.
Forgetting the camera, only have a point and shoot right now....

The biggest problem I had on my old camera was using manual all the time and forgetting to reset the exposure time after long exposure shots.

taking you flash out and realising the rechargeable batteries have ran themselves flat..... oh wait, i only own eneloops now..... this never happens.

Dear eneloops. I love you and promise to look after you well. x

"What brand of camera is that?"

*looks at CANON branded strap*

"Nikon mate"

"ah, right, thought it looked like one!"

*sigh*

Or the infamous

"Do you photoshop?"

"Yes love, but to get rid of that double chin I'd recommend you stop shovelling it down your throat and do more exercise"

When taking group shots of people, the larger always latch onto the edges having a nice chunk of arm in shot then complain that they can see so much of themselves. If they moved into the middle it wouldn't be so bad, it's made even worse when having to use a wide angled lens.

Another one with groups of people is those who insist on leaning in every single shot, just a collection of heads in the middle and those on the sides looking like they're laying on a table they're so horizontal.

Had enough of people I'm off to shoot trees.
