Photography Competition #1 - "Eyes" - DISCUSSION

Don't post in here any more, but I do lurk :p

Glad to see there's some interest in the competition again! That was one of the hopes of the hiatus we decided upon when we called it a day on the previous format - absence makes the heart grow fonder, and all that! Fingers crossed it gets going.

Perhaps as a gentle nudge, you might consider promoting it in GD as well, lolage?
 
I best get me a model sorted before end of the month, have loads of photos I'd like to enter but they were taken over the last year.

Nice to see the comp back, hope it stays :)
 
Great stuff, I was hoping this would make a return some day, it helped motivate me to get out with my camera. Unfortunately I don't really do portraits, but good luck to everyone else and I'll look forward to next months.

Ahh it's a public vote, hopefully it doesn't become a popularity contest.

With regards to the voting, where will the voting happen and what's the deal with voting for your own entry?
 
Very similar to one of my ideas cokecan, I was going to use several in a row and use dof to pick out just one. I have another idea though, and I'm waiting for a prop to turn up... :(

EDIT: entered, ive actually got a photo of just one eye that i prefer to the 2 eyes but the subject is "EYES" not "EYE" :(

I'm quite happy with mine... was a bit of a fluke rather than planned... I like the spiral through the picture in the focal points of their eyes :)
