Photography Topic thread...

It's great street shooting and I only found him because I was looking for examples of what I could do with my 135 :)

I'll have a play at the weekends I'm in London and experiment in Lightroom to get the same look :p

Most of his shots are at f2 but at 135 so his bokeh is superb although he does have a 1D III!

I might have to stick to 1.4-1.6 and get closer :p

I'm in Sidcup from Friday night but am in Abingdon Sat morning to get my steering wheel fitted then driving back to Sidcup.
My appointment is at 11am in Abingdon and should take <30mins so will hit the road back toward Sidcup but if you're close by then a mini meet could be a cool way to burn a couple of hours perhaps!

Sidcup isn't really London! I'm down for a London thing though :)
What do you mean by mini meet? Pub and grub or more behind the camera type thing?

Well I plan to walk around Central London during the day so depending on the time I make it there I'll post back and if you guys still about then go from there? :D

Cool, not 100% sure what I'm doing this weekend yet but I'll email you my mobile number...only 20 mins from central so let us know :)

I just don't seem to be able to get it so crisp at low light. I hate the grain even at my ISO 800 on my 550D and 1/160 is just too fast.

I guess I need to get the time of day right and PP in the 'night'?

Well he's using a camera body with a sensor that's so smooth it could be a butter substitute and extended high ISO performance so there's one part of the answer right there :p

The latest badboy Canon and Nikon sensors are amazing in low light high ISO conditions especially coupled with fast glass.

As in full frame xD? While a 5D is amazing for picture quality it's probably not what you want if you want to shoot moving things where a fast buffer is more important. A 7D is where it's at and it has impressive high ISO performance as well. It's one reason I have held on to the 40D for so long, 7.8fps is useful a lot of the time and also means I can save for a much better upgrade :p
