Photos of a H80 in a Corsair 600T

Nice job :) Looks great. Braid the fan cables for the cooler or get some black heat shrink ;) will make it look nicer.

Yeah, thats the only prob with the AP-15's, beautiful performing fans but really ugly in some respects.

Oh and thanks for the compliment on the build everyone....much appreciated.

Might be a bit tight, here is the H60 in mine...which is thinner than the H80. It will fit fine, but just will look quite full if you know what i mean.

Nice build you have there! Simple and minimalistic. Im really liking those twin frozrs together.

Thanks for the feedback :)

When I built this rig, I kept in mind the color scheme I was going for which was Silver/White and Black. So I was trying to buy items that were good performing but would fit the scheme too!

I'm using Gentle Typhoon AP-15's.

The stock fan with the H60 is excellent actually, but you can hear it when you turn it up near maximum. The AP-15's will run much faster at a quieter volume, they also have a better air pressure rating, so they can force more air through the vanes of the radiator. To be honest, I didn't really have to swap the fans but just fancied doing it. Also the build quality and bearings are superb, if you power up the AP-15 and then cut power, it takes ages to spin down...the bearings are that good.

But to reiterate, the fan with the H60 does the job very well, 2 AP-15 are waaay better...if you want to pay the money, but the difference is only a couple of degrees to be fair.

do the blue fans come with the 600T white case or did you put those in yourslef?

Looks good!

How hot do your Frozrs run? I think mine is faulty, as I only have single one and it idles at 45C and it can hit 91C in Furmark!

Idle temps are are around 40C, under load the bottom card was cooking in the 90C range when I had the windowed side panel on! Since I put the mesh panel with the two 120mm fans blowing on them the temp under load are around 70C which is apparently a common story under SLI.

I'd be surprised to see a single card getting to 90C unless your case cooling is lacking a bit?

Thanks, I'm going to try running the case on its side with the panel off to get all the heat out - hopefully, before I return it for replacement.

Do both cards run at 70C now?

What are you using for load testing?

Yes, both card touch 70C when I play Battlefield Bad Company 2, also the same with Kombuster. Also to update..idle temps are 34C and 30C on the respective cards..so a bit lower than I thought.

Hi, me again ;-)

I've removed my side panel, laid the case on its side and have the 120mm fan blowing over it and it will not idle below 44C!

I've run Kombustor and it hits about 75C. If I chose the Xtreme burn in it hits 86C and crashes the video driver..

Have I got a bad card, or is this typical if you don't have a perfect case with side fans pointing at the 6950?

I need to know before I return the card via an RMA, as I don't want it returning with 'No fault found'

Thanks again

I'm no expert but the idle temps are not where they should be if you have a fan blowing on the card. Maybe post this in the graphics card forum for more opinions?
