Photoshop help needed please

Hi All

Can anyone help me please, I have a piece of work I do around this time each year and once again I need to do it now but I've hit a bit of a problem.

The piece of work is put together in Photoshop but for some stupid reason Photoshop has decided that it won't open it now, instead just giving me a dialogue box saying the file has too many layers for this version of Photoshop...which is odd seeing as it's the very same version which I used last year to create the file in the first place...

If I was to upload it to sendspace or somewhere like that would anyone with a newer version of photoshop be able to open it up and delete a load of layers for me then re-upload it for me so I can work on it later?

If anyone could be so kind I'd be very grateful.

Thanks

Valve

ps I realise this would probably be better off in the Graphics Forum but I could do with a fairly swift response and there are only 9 people viewing that forum and 300+ viewing this one...

Cheers, just uploading it now, which is taking it's time...it's only 149mb but network is being really slow here today.

Finally finished uploading:

If you could remove some of the drawing pins leaving at least one of each colour (it'll make sense when you see it), fingers crossed it'll save enough layers and I'll be able to open it.

Really appreciate your help with this, just got my fingers crossed that it's not ended up corrupted when it tried to save with too many layers last time I worked on it.

If it's only done once a year wy not just install the CS5 trial once a year and go from there?

Use mediafire next time :P But ill check out aswell.

As I mentioned before, Sendspace used to be really good, and I've sent many files to various printers using it but it's changed and seems to be rubbish now...will give media fire a try next time.

I've downloaded the file. what layers do you want deleting?

If you could get tid of a load of the drawing pin layers that'd be great and hopefully will cull a fair few layers. also, any that aren't visible will be fine to remove.

I use Photoshop all the time and have been asking for a newer version for years but it's never materialised...probably because they know I'll also need a newer PC to run it!!

Never had a problem with this file before and bit puzzled as to why it's managed to work and save with more files than it can handle...

Increase the memory usage allowance within PS, it might be that you don't have enough resources for all the layers to cache which is why it won't load the file.

There's no layer grouping in version 5.5, else I would have done!!!

(well there is but not in any kind of way which is useful or would reduce layer numbers!!!)
