Photoshop help (serious)

Hi all, unlike our usual PS threads this one's after some actual help. My PS skill are sadly lacking (see below at my attempt) but here's what I'm trying to do -

Taking the pic below I want to chop out just the fox head (minus the ears) and 3 colour background, then remove the rivet heads from the grey/white/green and finally keeping the fox's head exactly 145pixels wide I want to continue the grey/white/green colours across the rest of the screen for a further 255 pixels (400 pix wide total).

My attempt looks OK small but blown upto 1920 wide (for a video I'm making) the "remove rivet heads" part is too messy, the lines between colours aren't straight where I've cloned out the rivet heads poorly etc.

i dunt get it...

the whole thing is a mess what plane is it? you would be better of starting from scratch and explaining what you want adding to a real photo of the rear end of the plane.

non of this foxhead with a shadow... text with a shadow... is it suposed to look like its painted on the plane? cos it doesnt when it has a shadow

arg just noticed in the PSD i didnt quite cut the plane out good enough so unless you want a white background you need to tidy it up abit you likely wont want it as
the plane is not the same

the wolf is clearly not a fox

looks better though ?

erm yea maybe if your insutrctions were simpler and you would have said "i want the flag with the fox head on with the flag beeing XXX pixels longer"

i completely missed your example though somehow but with it beeing such an easy thing to do

why didnt you just ask for a real fox head on a flag like

?
