Hi All,

I am having a bit of an issue with photoshop at the mo:

I have designed a simple leaflet for a family friend, I want to export this to PDF to send to the printers, however, when I do so, not all of the layers get exported and I end up with a strange looking document:

File in photoshop: http://www.fegga.org/upload/files/photoshop.tiff
When exported to PDF: http://www.fegga.org/upload/files/pdf.tiff

Does anyone have any ideas what on earth could be going on here!?

Thanks in advance,

James

I had a similar problem to this, exporting .PSD's to a PDF document in photoshop would leave some letters cut in half and other wierd stuff. I ended up flattening the pages, saving them as jpeg then exporting the jpegs and it was fine.

have you tried printing to a pdf (ie you need acrobat installed) or are you just using the pdf file option in photoshop.

The only other option and one which I would suggest in most cases is to flatten the image first (do a backup of the layered file) then try it - this should work with both photoshop pdf and the print method suggested above.

I'd suggest using a proper program like quark or indesign. Photoshop really isn't for the design of printed materials. Just my opinion.
