Oh and, pretty patchy but if anyone wants it:
Le petit lapin, with the layer of the hat selected go to the layer menu in the top bar, then click matting, then click defringe. Then click OK, if there is still a white edge around it then do it all again but defringe by 2 pixels instead of one.
