Not to burst his bubble, but if you search cushion mockup, there are psd's with psb layers in them that allow you to just put your picture in and it does it for you.. Might have done it himself, but this saves a load of time.

If they are free, some are. Then if you have any knowledge of PSD layers, there is normally a layer inside that will say "add image" or "change me" and it is a PSB layer which will open as a new file, you drop in your newly made image and save it, it then applies it to the PSD layer with smart filters etc adjusting your image. Simple.
